Faces We Make
What’s the difference between a smile and a smirk?
A smile means you’re pleased; a smirk says, “You jerk!”
Just as a face turns red when bashful or mad,
And tears fill your eyes if excited or sad.
All human faces make the same expression,
When becoming excited or feeling depression.
Whenever you see the look of surprise
You won’t have to guess or even surmise.
There’s happy and angry; blissful and yucky,
These feelings can be tough but, sometimes quite lucky.
There’s bashful and bored and even suspicious.
Sometimes they’re unhelpful but they can be auspicious.
You emotions will always be on display,
Because your facial muscles will give them away.
