optimistic:  a feeling that things will work out in a good way in the future.


example:  I am optimistic that if I study hard I will get a good grade on the exam.

materialistic: when a person gives too much importance to material things rather than intellectual or spiritual ideas.


example:  Jeremy is so materialistic that he would rather not play on the team if he can’t get a new uniform.

enhanced:  to improve or make something better than it was.


example:  The birthday cake was lovely, but I felt I could enhance it by putting fresh roses on the top.
